This move, designed to bolster employers amidst current economic challenges, extends a measure allowing a significant number of temporary foreign workers to be hired through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, effective until next year. This program enables employers to fill up to 30% of their workforce with low-wage roles in food, wood product and furniture manufacturing, accommodation and food services, construction, hospitals, and nursing and residential care facilities.
