IRCC invited over 12,000 new candidates under the IEC Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From January 22 to February 4, Canada invited 12,501 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of February 4, 31,828 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. In this round, the following ITAs are invited . IRCC invited the first IEC candidates of 2024 Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From January 1 to January 12, Canada invited 11,922 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit . As of January 12, 36,060 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation.   The IEC's first round of invitations began on January 8 International Experience Canada (IEC) 2024 opened on December 11, 2023, allowing youth from eligible countries to submit profiles. The first round of invitations started on January 8, 2024, with the number of issued invitations expected to be announced on January 12, 2024. The IEC 2024 fees are CAD 172, with additional fees for some programs.  Iceland and Finland are joining the IEC in 2024, and South Korean youth can participate in more programs this year. IEC work permit holders require health insurance during their stay. To participate, candidates must submit a profile and receive an invitation before applying for a work permit. Invitations are issued weekly, and applications must be made within ten days of accepting the invitation. New changes announced to the International Experience Canada program On December 12, 2023, the Canadian Government updated the International Experience Canada (IEC) program. This program fosters travel and work collaboration between Canada and other nations, assisting in arranging transportation, job hunting, and accommodation procurement.  The refreshed instructions from December 18 mirror the roster of organizations acknowledged by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada in 2018. Notable amendments include service adjustments, the omission of Memorial University of Newfoundland from the recognized organizations list, the inclusion of International Internship Network (IIN) and Languages Canada, updates to the designations and descriptions of AIESEC Canada, Go International, IAESTE, and International Rural Exchange/A-Way to Work, and clarifications on the IEC program's participation counting methods.
