Details of the all-program Express Entry draw 263 

On September 19, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,200 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the new all-program Express Entry draw 263. In the latest round of invitations, the cut-off score was 531 points, 35 points more than in the previous all-program draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round was September 12, 2023, at 12:16:31 UTC. As of September 19, 2023, there are 216,035 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. In 2023, Canada issued 80,948 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

What is the Express Entry category-based selection?

On May 31, 2023, the Government of Canada launched a category-based selection for Express Entry, allowing IRCC to invite prospective candidates for permanent residence with specific skills, training, or language ability.  This year, invitations will focus on candidates with strong French language proficiency or experience in:

BC invited up to 218 skilled candidates under the BC PNP  On February 6, 2024, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and issued invitations to apply to qualified and skilled candidates with work experience in healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary care occupations.  In the general draw, the province invited 102 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited to this draw was 97 points. BC issued 46 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).  In the Healthcare-targeted draw, British Columbia invited 39 candidates who scored 60 points.
