Canada invited 670 candidates in the 2nd Express Entry draw for transport occupations

On December 20, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the second round of invitations in the Express Entry system for newcomers with work experience in transport occupations. Express Entry draw #277 was the third consecutive draw of the week, and 670 Invitations to Apply (ITA) were issued to skilled workers with work experience in the transport sector. 


In this draw, the cut-off score was 435 points. The tie-breaking rule for this round was August 30, 2023, at 17:30:21 UTC. As of December 20, 2023, there are 208,638 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. 


In 2023, Canada issued 109,866 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

  • 72601 - Air traffic controllers and related occupations

  • 72600 - Air pilots, flight engineers, and flying instructors

  • 72404 - Aircraft mechanics and aircraft inspectors

  • 72403 - Railway carmen/women

  • 70020 - Managers in transportation
