222 Skills Immigration Candidates Invited in the BC PNP Latest Draw


On September 6, 2023, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates. 


In the general draw, BC invited 160 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 89-110 points. 


In the childcare-targeted draw: The province issued 43 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202). 


In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 19 candidates who scored 60 points. In total, British Columbia issued 222 ITAs in this draw.

Important factors of targeted BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream


Invitations to apply for the BC PNP Skills Immigration streams may be targeted based on one or more of the following criteria:

  • Education: level, field of study, and place of completion

  • Professional designations that are acceptable in BC

  • language proficiency

  • Occupation

  • length and level of work experience

  • the job's salary and/or level of skill

  • want to settle down in a specific region and live there

  • Strategic goals are elements that support government pilot programs and initiatives or address specific labor market needs in British Columbia.

About the BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream 


British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the province of British Columbia, contains a number of immigration streams referred to as British Columbia Skills Immigration. Workers and foreign graduates who have the skills, education, or experience necessary to effectively contribute to the BC economy may be nominated for permanent residence in Canada through the BC Skills Immigration programs. The BC Skills Immigration program offers the following streams:


  • BC Skilled Worker

  • BC Healthcare Professional

  • BC International Graduate

  • BC International Post-Graduate

  • BC Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker


What are the eligibility requirements for skills immigration?


To be eligible for the skills immigration stream, you must: 

  • have accepted a full-time, indeterminate work offer from a B.C. company (the job offer cannot be temporary or have a set expiration date). A skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) is required. 

  • be qualified to fulfill the responsibilities of the job.

  • having two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) experience in any skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).

  • Demonstrate your ability to support yourself and your dependents.

  • Have legal immigration status in Canada or be eligible for it.

  • Meet the minimum language requirements for NOC TEER 2 or 3 occupations.

  • have a salary offer that is comparable with B.C. wage rates for the occupation.

The British Columbia PNP invited up to 198 tech professionals and skilled candidates

The British Columbia PNP invited up to 198 tech professionals and skilled candidates On January 16, 2024, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and issued invitations to apply to qualified candidates in tech, healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary care occupations.  In the tech draw, the province invited 91 candidates. OINP held two draws under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream On January 9, 2024, the Government of Ontario held two draws in the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream ( EJO FW ) Stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).  The province issued 821 targeted invitations to apply (ITAs) to tech and healthcare occupations and 630 ITAs for skilled trades workers. The minimum scores for these draws were 40 and 33, respectively.  All invitees have profiles created between January 9, 2023, and January 9, 2024.
